7 Weeks

The girls are already 7 weeks old! Amazing how gruelingly slow and quick it all seems to go.

We went to the doctor yesterday and they both had really good check-ups. The doctor and health nurse are both amazed with their ability to quickly gain weight (don't they know who their mother is?).

Avery is 9 lbs 5 oz. She's over 21 inches long. She started out at 4-15 and 18 inches. She's in the 50th percentile for weight but that's comparing her to other 7 week old babies that were full term. Pretty darn good!

Morgan is 7 lbs 10 oz. and a little over 19 inches long. She started out at 4 lbs and 16 inches. She's in the 5 th (yes, you read that right) percentile for weight. But that's comparing her to full term babies so for a 4 pounder she's doing awesome!

Everyone is starting to comment on how different the girls look. Avery is bigger, has lots of hair and olive skin. Morgan is so tiny, a little hair challenged and pink skin. They both have big BLUE eyes. I'm not sure how blue got through but they sure look like they'll stay blue!

Reid is currently fighting a bronchial infection. He's on antibiotics and thankfully is sleeping well. He must have a pretty high pain tolerance as the doctor said his ears were infected and he could hear it in his chest. You would have known no difference in Reid's behaviour (except he won't eat). We're just prayin' the rest of us don't get it!
