Pooped

Random Thoughts

1. I worry that our house is really starting to smell like poop. There's a lot of pooping that happens in a 24 hour cycle at our house. We're trying to keep up with the garbage removal but man, we each need a personal assistant around here!

2. I cracked open the Good Start tonight. I'm trying to keep up to the hungry baby demands but my frozen milk stash is now gone and I was doing the "try to nurse each, then pump, then top up with bottle" routine. Not working. I need to give them one formula bottle in 24 hours to keep me one step ahead of them. Let's all remember that formula doesn't kill them and breast milk doesn't make them fly!

3. Reid continues to be such an awesome big brother. He now has a doll that is "his baby" and when we're busy with babies he'll bring his doll and carry it around. He's very proud to help hold the babies bottles and will also help pat their backs when we're burping them. He also wants to have a turn using my breast pump. "Reid's turn?" he'll say. I tell him that just Mommy's have boobies. Lastly, he is so awesome with company (friends, family, health nurses, etc.). He loves to entertain and has been great with everyone.

4. The girls are growing like crazy and were weighed again today. Morgan is 5 lbs 6 oz. Avery is 6 lbs 3.5 oz. They are starting to have more awake times. Usually in the evening which makes it very hectic.

5. We went for a walk around the block yesterday. Everyone had a great time. It took us longer to get ready then it did to walk around the block!

6. Amazing friends who bring food/treats (even take-out), hold and feed babies, spoil us with loot makes me tear up just thinking about it. Thank you, thank you!

7. Being the parents of multiples is as crazy as you can imagine. However it's amazing how normal it feels to us. We still feel (and always will) crazy blessed!

(some days we stay in our jammies extra long)

Agreed - overwhelemed, but crazy happy! Ahh, it just gets better once they are mobile! ;-) Just ask my friend who had triplet boys when her oldest son was 3... they are now 4years and 19 months - they too are done. ;-)
