Thankful

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend.

On Sunday we had our girls Dedicated at our church.  This is not only a huge event for us spiritually but also emotionally as it's the first celebration (party!) that we've had for our girlies.  So much to celebrate!

Our parents, my Aunt Kathy, my sister and her crew and several of our friends witnessed the event.  The girls and Reid did great!  Our Pastor was great in that he prayed for our girls and his prayer included that for whatever reason God saw fit for them to be twins and that they would live their life with their own identity and confidence in themselves.  He also prayed that they would choose great friends and remain close with each other.  This spoken from a man with four kids, three of which are girls and they are all just finishing up their teen years!  I appreciated his thoughtfulness and my only regret is that we didn't record his prayer as it was so challenging to me (in a good way).

After, we came back to our place for lunch.  I wish we had a bigger place so that we could have invited more of our friends but we just don't!  So our cozy bungalow hosted about 25 people.  A great afternoon was had!  We enjoyed the beautiful weather and the kids were able to run around and play outside. We had made just a cold lunch (turkey, ham, homemade buns and salads - thank-you Grandmas) and it was WAY better than trying to serve a hot meal.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so wonderful!
