Reid's Second Christmas

We have had a great Christmas!

Christmas morning we started the new tradition of my mom and dad and my sister and her family all coming over to our house. This will now happen for the next few years as, "those with the youngest" get to host.

Reid started out the morning by waking us up around 6:30am. At 7 or so we came out to the living room to see what "Santa" brought.

See the cute drum set? Yeah, Reid didn't. All he noticed was Elmo poking out of his stocking. He grabbed it and ran around the room yelling , "Elmo, Elmo". After a few minutes, Daddy pointed out the cool drum set, which he enjoys.

I then made our favorite breakfast. Homemade waffles and pudding (it's like hot vanilla pudding). Reid tried out the first one before the rest of our family arrived.

My family arrived and we finished opening presents. We were all spoiled with some good loot. Around 1pm my family left and we all laid down for long afternoon naps. When Reid got up he enjoyed playing with some of his new toys. For a minute or two. Then he grabbed his mini stick and resumed his never-ending hockey game (all decked out in his new Sens gear from his Ottawa cousins).

That evening we went to my mom and dad's for supper. My Aunt came down from out of town. We all had a nice visit together.

Boxing day we woke up early (thanks, Reid) and headed to Del's parent's house. There we enjoyed time with his parents and his brother's family. I'm lacking in photos because my camera was in my purse in the room that Reid was napping in. His Auntie got some good pics though and is willing to share! I did catch a picture of the kids (big ones too) making forts in Grandma's basement. Reid was hoping to start a hockey game in the fort.

The 27th we left and drove 3 hours back home and then out to my Uncle's farm. There we met up with my cousins and their kids. It was virtually a day care (three toddlers are missing from the picture) with all of my cousins having kids around the same age. Notice my hubby right in the middle of it all, entertaining the troops?!
Needless to say, we're glad to get home and be back in a routine. Reid got a cold and some two year molars over Christmas so we've been pretty sleep deprived. Probably not as sleep deprived as next Christmas though!?!!!?!!!
Happy Holidays!

Ahhh sleep... that elusive state I once knew. Glad Reid had a great Christmas! He has the same stocking as Simon. :)
